FHED | Trends and Future Development of Digital Healthcare and Treatment

National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) held a five-day international conference on the future of healthcare and economic development from November 27th to December 1st, 2023, at NCKU. The conference was a valuable opportunity for Thai and Taiwanese scholars to share their research and expertise, and to explore potential collaborations in the fields of healthcare and technology. The conference also helped to strengthen ties between NCKU and leading universities in Thailand.

MU-NCKU International Exhibition & Symposium: Medical Device Innovation & Medical Care

At the MU-NCKU International Exhibition & Symposium: Medical Device Innovation & Medical Care held on September 11, 2023, Professor Fong-Chin Su, Chair Professor of National Cheng Kung University, met with the Executive Director. National Research Council of Thailand, Dr. Wiparat De-Ong. They discussed the potential for joint research cooperation between Taiwan and Thailand. They also expressed their desire for future collaboration between the National Research Council of Thailand, National Cheng Kung University, and other Taiwanese research institutions.

MOU signed between NCKU and MU - Faculty of Nursing

An academic exchange agreement was signed by the Department of Nursing, College of Medicine of NCKU, and the Faculty of Nursing of Mahidol University on August 11. The agreement aims to promote extensive and in-depth academic exchange and collaboration between two universities, including a dual doctoral program.

International Academic Visit | Seeking for bilateral collaboration

During this trip, the delegation visited various institutions, including the Bangkok Disaster Prevention and Mitigation of Bangkok Metropolitan, Mahidol University, Chulalongkorn University, King Mongkut's Institute of Technology, Prince of Songkla University, and Chiang Mai University. The delegation had discussions on bilateral international research collaboration projects, covering topics such as faculty and student exchanges, student mobility, and dual degree programs, and had tours of key laboratories. The visit also aimed to promote the distinctive features and outstanding quality of teaching, research, and development capabilities of the NCKU.

The director of the Institute of Biomedical Engineering, Chiang Mai University, Thailand, visited National Cheng Kung University to give a short talk for exchanging and to discuss the MOU between CMU and NCKU.

On March 9th, 2023, the Taiwan-Thailand Talent Cultivation - Mahidol University Internship Sharing Event was held. Five students who had interned at Mahidol University's Biomedical Engineering Department shared their experiences in labs and their lives in Thailand.

MOU signed between NCKU and MU - Dual PhD Degree Program -Dept. of BME

The representatives of the Department of Biomedical Engineering from Mahidol University in Thailand visited Tainan and signed an MOU for the cooperation of the Dual PhD Degree Program with the Department of Biomedical Engineering at National Cheng Kung University.

Taiwan Center for Smart Healthcare Science and Technology in Thailand held a welcome ceremony for five Biomedical Engineering students from National Cheng Kung University to Thailand Mahidol University for a one-month internship program.
