Event | MU-NCKU International Exhibition & Symposium: Medical Device Innovation & Medical Care


 

Innovation in the field of medical devices holds great significance towards improving healthcare and patient outcomes. Its continual development is important to drive progress in disease diagnosis and patient care. By improvising technology and design, innovative medical devices enable healthcare professionals to achieve more accurate and early diagnoses, perform speedy, minimally invasive procedures, and deliver personalized treatment. Furthermore, these advancements often lead to enhanced efficiency and cost-effectiveness of the healthcare systems.

“Medical Device Innovation & Medical Care” Symposium is a two-day event that aims to bring together industry experts, researchers, startup companies, and policy managers to explore the latest advancements in medical device innovation and medical care. The symposium will feature a combination of an exhibition and lectures, providing a unique platform for knowledge exchange, collaboration, and networking. The event will be jointly organized by NCKU Overseas Hub in Thailand in partnership with the Institute for Technology and Innovation Management, Mahidol University.

During the symposium, a series of lectures will be presented by esteemed speakers from within Thailand and international experts from Taiwan. Each speaker will be given 45 minutes on stage to showcase their innovative medical devices and share their experiences. After the presentations, there will be interactive discussions with the audience to explore the potential applications and implications of their innovations. The symposium will also host an exhibition area featuring national and international 
exhibitors. Leading companies involved in medical devices and innovations will showcase their latest products and technologies. Additionally, a team of 6 emerging startup companies led by Prof Fong Chin Su from NCKU, Taiwan, and 4 startup companies from Mahidol University, Thailand, will present their ideas and seek collaborations with industrial stakeholders. The symposium will also feature a panel discussion regarding innovative solutions and experience sharing in palliative care from the Faculty of Nursing, NCKU, Taiwan, and Mahidol University and a dedicated session for research collaboration between the two universities.
