Taiwan Center for Smart Healthcare Science and Technology in Thailand is delighted to host annual webinar series to share the latest perspectives in Smart Healthcare. The monthly series takes place on Thursday afternoons at 13:30 pm @Tawian /12:30 pm @Thailand. Our invited speakers include international innovators, tech experts, entrepreneurs, educators, as well as official and industrial representatives to provide empirical and special insights into current healthcare development. The purpose is also to initiate critical discussions between international leaders and potential leaders.

Dr. Che-Wei Lin received his PhD of Electrical Engineering in National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) followed by M.S in Information Technology from University of Milan, Italy. After that, he had his research fellowship of Electrical Engineering for four years in NCKU. His research interests include Artificial Intelligence-based Biomedical, Medical Wearable Device Design, Virtual Reality Rehabilitation and Medical Education System. Dr. Lin is currently an Assistant Professor of Biomedical Engineering in NCKU. He and his team has received several recognitions such as Champion in 2020 Global Student Innovation Challenge-Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology (gSIC-REAT) / 2019 Ministry of Science and Technology Research Project for Excellent Young Scholars. Dr. Pham Le An is an experienced managing director PhD with a demonstrated history of working in the hospital & health care industry. He is skilled in Clinical Research, Medical Education, Epidemiology, Emergency Management, and Pediatrics. He is a strong education professional with a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD focused in Pediatrics from University of Medicine and Pharmacy (UMP), Ho Chi Minh City. Before that, he had his fellowship of Family Medicine and Medical Education in University California Irvine, USA. His recent research interest is especially focusing on Family Medicine, Vaccination, Entrepreneurship, Management of Technology and BioDesign. He is currently the Associate Professor of Pediatrics, Director of Grant and Innovation Center, Director of Family Medicine Training Center in UMP, as well as Vice Chairman of Vietnamese Association of Family Physician and Honorary Associate Professor in University of Queensland Australia. Dr. Ping-Yen Liu is a Professor & Director of Institute of Clinical Medicine, College of Medicine, National Cheng Kung University (NCKU), Tainan, Taiwan. He is also a Professor of Cardiology, Internal Medicine, in the NCKU Hospital. He is currently the deputy editor of the Acta Cardiologica Sinica (ACS, Impact factor 2.7 in 2020 JCR), the official Journal of Taiwan Society of Cardiology since 2012. He also co-chairs the Committee of International Affairs in the Taiwan Society of Cardiology since 2018. Dr. Liu’s research work focused on the pathophysiology of cardiovascular disease, with an emphasis on dyslipidemia, thrombosis and hemostasis, platelet function, rho kinase activity, etc. Dr. Liu has published 140 peer reviewed research papers and has an h-index of 27. He actively supervises 20+ doctoral students and graduate students and clinical researchers in NCKU. Dr. Yi-Shan Tsai obtained her MD from National Cheng Kung University. She is currently an Associate Professor of Medical Imaging, College of Medicine in National Cheng Kung University (NCKU). She is also the Director of Clinical Innovation and Research Center in NCKU Hospital. Her research is focusing on Pediatric Radiology, Cardiovascular Radiology and Medical Image AI. Dr.Panrasee Ritthipravat is an associate professor at Department of Biomedical Engineering, Mahidol University. She received her doctoral degree in Mechanical engineering program from King Mogkut’s University of Technology Thonburi. Currently she is a director of Artificial Intelligence in Medicine Lab (AIM Lab). Her research focuses on AI, image processing and robotics. Her projects include educational robot for children with special needs, rehabilitation device for stroke patients, and computer aided cancer diagnosis. These projects won several international and national invention awards. She also won and joined several pitching competitions to promote and drive her research products to the market. She will share the topic "Current research projects at Artificial Intelligence in Medicine Lab, Mahidol University" in International Webinar Series on Smart Healthcare Science and Technology. |
