iMEDEV 2025 International Conference | TTSTC Executive Director Prof. Fong-Chin Su Delivers Keynote at iMEDEV 2025 in Thailand on AI-Driven Medical Device Research

The Taiwan–Thailand Science and Technology Center (TTSTC) is proud to announce that its Executive Director, Professor Fong-Chin Su, was invited as a distinguished keynote speaker at the 2025 Innovation and Networks in Medical Device International Conference (iMEDEV 2025). The conference was organized by Suranaree University of Technology (SUT) and held in Trang, Thailand, from November 6 to 7, 2025.

The theme for this year's conference, “Medical Device Research in the Agentic AI Era,” promises to facilitate meaningful discussions among leading researchers, innovators, and industry experts on the significant impact of advanced AI technologies on the evolution of global medical device development.

The event is part of the project “Frontier Research and Innovation Networking for Medical Devices Development,” under SUT's 2025 initiative to advance Thailand's medical-device innovation to the global stage. The project is implemented under the Memorandum of Understanding on the Development of Excellence in Higher Education Institutions and Advanced Human Resources, jointly supported by the Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI) and Suranaree University of Technology (SUT).

The initiative aims to strengthen collaboration between Thai and international universities in developing medical-device technologies and innovations. By leveraging multidisciplinary expertise—including photonics, biomedical sensors, robotic surgery, biomedical engineering, and medical biochemistry—the project seeks to enhance the capabilities of Thai researchers and elevate the university’s position as a national leader in medical-device innovation.

The iMEDEV 2025 conference successfully created a collaborative network of more than 60 researchers from universities in Thailand and abroad. Through this platform, participants exchanged scientific knowledge and explored new directions in medical-device innovation across multiple fields. The network is expected to lead to:

  • The Development of Joint Research Proposals,
  • Collaborative Training And Shared Use Of Laboratory Facilities,
  • New Academic Programs In Medical Innovation, And
  • High-Quality Research Outputs And Medical-Device Innovations That Meet International Standards.

 

 This conference marks an important milestone in advancing Thailand toward becoming a regional hub for medical-device research and innovation, generating long-term economic and societal benefits for the country.
